The oldest child of Mexican Immigrant Ag workers, Antonio C. Martinez was born and raised in Salinas, Ca. As a teenager, Antonio learned the value of hard work and independence by working various part time jobs, one of them as an office assistant at Lopez Tax Service, Inc. While at Lopez Tax Service, Antonio witnessed firsthand the organized chaos that tax season brought upon both staff members and clients alike. Excelling in his classes at North Salinas High School, Antonio soon found himself with a full ride scholarship to attend the College of Engineering, at the University of California, Berkeley. Struggling to compete with some of the brightest minds in the world, Antonio quickly realized the importance of time management, discipline, and commitment. In 2009, Antonio received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. With multiple job offers at hand, Antonio soon began to work as a Construction Engineer for Turner Construction Co. However, with the recession hitting the Construction industry, Antonio has now found a new calling as the Membership Director of Latino Tax Professionals Association. Currently preparing for the EA exam, Antonio will soon begin studying for the GMAT exam in pursue of his MBA. Antonio enjoys hiking, traveling, and tutoring others in his spare time.
